Thursday, April 12th

"But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint." - Isaiah 40:31

More praises to report today! Shane has been up walking this morning and has already made two rounds around the hopital floor. His fever is down this morning and he is in good spirits. He is still not sleeping well but hopefully will be able to rest today. The doctors are still enforcing the "No visitor" policy but if he continues to progress as well, hopefully he can start seeing people next week. We will let you know as soon as they give us the ok!

God continues to bless us through Shane's recovery and we pray that He will continue to heal and protect his body. God bless you all and keep sending the blogs. He has really enjoyed reading them.

So glad to hear that you're up walking around. That tells me that if you can make 2 trips around the hospital, then you can come home and catch up on your yard work! You know we have covenants in Shanebrake neighborhood... Don't make me have to report you! HA!HA!

We love you and continue to pray for a speedy recovery.

Shane, so glad to hear that you are steadly improving. You have always been hard to keep down. I am so thankful that God hears and answers prayers, as I know at least a million have gone up for your recovery, besides mine.
Continue to take care of yourself, do what the Drs. say and know that you are so loved and respected. Much love and many prayers for you and your family, Lynda Gregg

Hi Shane,
We have been keeping up with you remarkable progress via your blog site. What a super way to stay informed!! We will pray that no infection gets in the way of your recovery!! However, with your medical team and the hand of The Great Physician on you, we feel confident of the outcome!! It's great to hear about your walking around the area and doing so well!!

Shane- Heaven is being stormed with prayers for you! Your progress sounds remarkable, but what should we expect from such a remarkable God? We attend the "other" service, but love you just the same! You, Pokey, and the girls will remain in our prayers.

Shane--

SOOOO glad that you have this blog. I have become somewhat obsessed with it. Keep getting stronger. Take it day by day.
As others have said, I am sure that God has had to work overtime to field all of the prayers for you and your family.

We continue to pray for your recovery.

Love--

Shane, the Smallwoods traveled to Tupelo for Easter to visit with our friends the Leakes. We went to Main Street Methodist for Easter and I met Reagan Miskelly who is one of the pastors there. She immediately asked if we knew you and Pokey once we shared that we were from Petal. They asked us to give you wishes for a speedy recovery and indicated they were praying for as are we! Take care, The Smallwoods.
