6:20 a.m. - The breathing tube was removed from Shane and he has been breathing on his own since midnight. He was alert and talking up a storm! Who else but Shane! Praise God for the wonderful team of doctors, surgeons and nurses who have cared for Shane. Please continue to pray for their guidance during his time of recovery.

I couldn't wait to get up this morning and check on Shane. I am so thankful to hear things are fabulous! I am sure he is keeping the nurses on their toes. What a great way to wake up this morning. We will keep praying that all stays "textbook"!
