Shane continues to make progress and ate a pretty good breakfast this morning. He is being encouraged to get up and move around more (notice I said encouraged!). Please continue to pray for strength, healing and endurance! We still have such a long road but God has been faithful and we have faith that He will continue to provide us with the strentgh we need. Please don't stop praying now! Thanks again for everything. Your prayers are helping us through!

Pokey, Doug and I have been keeping up with Shane's recovery process thru Tracy Robinson. We are praying for a speedy recovery from the pain and a complete healing of Shane's body. for you we are praying for wisdom and for patience...which every good nurse/caretaker needs in abundance! If there is anything that either of us can do to help you in any way, please do not hesitate to call on us. Tell Shane to just hang in there and that day by day it will be better!

Pokey and Shane, We returned from a trip Sunday to learn of your surgery. My heart stopped when a friend said "Have you heard about Shane?" Then quickly started again when I learned that you were only having heart surgery!!!! Seriously, we are praying for you and will continue to pray that God will hold you in his powerful hands and heal you, bring back strength and health.
We miss you. Bob and Lynne Rhodes

Shane and Pokey,
Greetings from Nashville. We learned about your surgery from Sally Martin in Kentucky. It looks like the entire Southeast is involved in this prayer effort!

I am happy for the good reports. Shane, aren't you lucky to have such a wonderful earthly family to care for you. I know that having Pokey and the girls provides inspiration. Remember to follow the orders of Dr. Pokey and get up and move about. Thanks for the updates. We will pray for continued healing.

Pokey and Shane,
We miss you around here at school. All of the students want to know where you two are. We told them that you two went on an extended vacation and no, seriously, we all miss you very much. Heal up and come back to us quickly.

Shane and Pokey -

We are so excited, happy and thankful that everything has gone so well. Tell Shane to eat and get out of that bed :). Know that you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. We love you guys and if there is anything we can do, please let us know. A lot of people in the Madison/Ridgeland area are praying for both of you.

Sincerly, Jason and Mary and family
